Today’s marketplace is global and technology innovation is critical to maintaining a competitive edge. Utah’s economic landscape nurtures technology innovation and provides the infrastructure for investment and development. Team Utah (see sidebar) unites industry, government and universities to accelerate our most promising technologies.
Salt Lake City is aligning with the State's economic vision by creating Technology Hubs in downtown Salt Lake. These mixed use developments form an urban district anchored by global companies and university led technology incubators. These Technology Hubs provide a de facto research and development resource for partner companies, develop a pipeline of great talent and create a fresh, exciting and economically sustainable urban center. The introduction of Technology Hubs is a significant advance in capitalizing on Salt Lake City’s fertile ground for technology innovation and business leadership.
